Entry Requirements
Requires a high school diploma / secondary school certificate (or higher secondary school certificate) with courses in biology, chemistry, mathematics and physics. English proficiency — IELTS 5.5 or its equivalent in TOEFL iBT (69) or TOEFL PBT (525) — is required at the time of registration. Programmes are taught in English (per TUMS's official English Language Proficiency policy, en.tums.ac.ir/en/page/281); students below the required score attend mandatory English classes at TUMS Intl. College before or during the programme. Applications are made through the TUMS online application form, which is free of charge and open all year round; top applicants can also apply for the TUMS Scholarship (tuition waiver) within the same form.

Tuition is charged per academic year and is paid in full at registration together with other yearly expenses; the rate is fixed for the whole course for the September 2026 intake. The Relief rate is TUMS' reduced fee for this intake. Other costs: registration $50 (once); health assessment and insurance $50–70 per year; furnished dormitory $100–200 per month on request; living costs roughly $150–200 per month. IELTS 5.5 (or TOEFL iBT 69 / PBT 525) is required at registration — otherwise an English placement test ($20) and classes ($475) may be required; a Persian placement test ($20) and classes ($420) apply if deemed necessary. There is no application fee; applying about 6 months before your intake is recommended.
