Entry Requirements
Applications are accepted from graduates of accredited high schools or colleges. There is no minimum GPA, but competitive applicants have a GPA of 3.00 or above, and applicants with higher marks in biology, chemistry and physics are preferred. Applicants must be over 17 in the year of application. Iranian citizens and dual nationals holding Iranian citizenship cannot apply to the International Education Program (they must sit the national Konkur exam). English: oral and written competence is required — IELTS 5.5, TOEFL iBT 69 or TOEFL PBT 525. Native speakers, applicants from countries where English is official, or those educated full-time in English for the last two years may be waived. Applicants below the minimum may still apply: they take a placement test on arrival and, if needed, English classes (136 hours, $2,232, separate from tuition) for up to two semesters — after which admission is denied if the minimum is still not met. The academic year has two semesters, beginning in September and February.
