IMPORTANT: these are the university's published rates for the 2020–2021 academic year, and KAUMS states that tuition and fees increase by more than 10 percent every year under its Board of Trustees regulations — expect current fees to be substantially higher. All fees are in US dollars and are paid in full at the beginning of each academic year. Other published costs (2020–2021): registration $30 (once); accommodation $200 per year (private furnished accommodation $600 per year, on request); student insurance $250 per year and family insurance $250 per person per year (if requested); visa / one-year stay permit $15 per year; Persian language courses $600 per year if required; food about $40 per month via the student card; blood test $20 (once); first airport pickup $15. Other living expenses run roughly $200–300 per month. Students who withdraw permanently at any point in the academic year remain liable for all fees, including tuition, accommodation and registration, plus applicable fines under university regulations.
